Armidale Dumaresq Council's Tourism, Marketing & Economic Development Department should be your first point of contact. The Manager - Tourism, Marketing & Econmoic Development together with Council's General Manager are responsible for all economic development strategies and projects including facilitating industry involvement and attracting new opportunities and programs.

Armidale Dumaresq Council established the Rapid Response Unit (RRU) in 2007 to ensure that significant developments could be fast tracked at a high level within the necessary regulatory guidelines. The Rapid Response Unit is focussed on assisting large developments or those developments that encourage job growth within Armidale.

The New England North West Business Advisory Service, supported by NSW Industry & Investment, delivers confidential business information, assists in the development of business plans and fosters networking among businesses. In addition to running the New Enterprise Incentive Scheme (NEIS) program the NENWBAS assists with the development, facilitation and delivery of strategic, business, marketing and operational plans for organisations, businesses and individuals.

Regional Development Australia -Northern Inland (RDA-NI) is a committee of local people jointly funded by both Australian and State Governments to identify through a regional plan opportunities to improve services and help develop our region both economically and socially in a sustainable environment. It is a conduit between Governments and local communities and a provider of information.
